My New Church Position

As of November 1, I become the Director of Music Ministries of Saint John’s Lutheran Church (ELCA), Middletown, New York.

I have more about it on my blog, Pipes in the Belfry.

Middletown is not far from Goshen, where I worked from 2016 until, abruptly, the summer of 2025. As recently as Pentecost–June 8–my plan was “smooth sailing” at First Presbyterian.

Life–actually, the Lord of life–had other plans for me, in order to purify me and also set me free for something better. As a good Lutheran once wrote, and J. S. Bach set to music, Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit!

Note–I plan to integrate my blog into this site, but that will be in the future, so stay up-to-date on Pipes in the Belfry (link above).
