La Himno

The Hope:
Angla traduko/English translation
Into the world came a new notion,
through the world a mighty call goes forth;
on wings of easy breath
now let it fly from place to place.
Not to the bloodthirsty sword
does it lead the human family;
to a world ever at war
it promises holy harmony.
Under the sacred sign of Hope
the peaceful warriors gather;
and the affair grows rapidly,
thanks to the work of the Hopers.
Strong stand the walls of millennia
among the divided peoples;
but the obstinate barricades will jump apart,
knocked asunder by sacred love.
On a neutral linguistic foundation—
one man understanding another—
the peoples shall make of one accord
one great big family circle.
Our diligent band of colleagues
shall never tire of peaceful work,
till the beautiful dream of mankind
is given shape unto eternal benefit.

En la mondon venis nova sento,
tra la mondo iras forta voko;
per flugiloj de facila vento
nun de loko flugu ĝi al loko.
Ne al glavo sangon soifanta
Ĝi la homan tiras familion:
al la mond’ eterne militanta
Ĝi promesas sanktan harmonion.
Sub la sankta signo de l’ espero
kolektiĝas pacaj batalantoj,
kaj rapide kreskas la afero
per laboro de la esperantoj.
Forte staras muroj de miljaroj
inter la popoloj dividitaj;
sed dissaltos la obstinaj baroj,
per la sankta amo disbatitaj.
Sur neŭtrala lingva fundamento,
komprenante unu la alian,
la popoloj faros en konsento
unu grandan rondon familian.
Nia diligenta kolegaro
en laboro paca ne laciĝos,
ĝis la bela sonĝo de l’ homaro
por eterna ben’ efektiviĝos.
